Transitioning with Grace

Depending on whom you ask the word “life” can bring about a myriad of thoughts and feelings. Some people would say that life is exciting and full, while others might say that life is scary or burdensome. An individual’s circumstances can often times, determine their current feelings about life. For instance, someone whose business and marriage are thriving may say that life is close to perfection while someone whose investments or health have taken a turn for the worst may have trouble seeing the brighter side of life.

It can be difficult to take transition in stride, whether the change happens slowly, over time or all at once. Having a good support system can make all the difference in the world. While friends and family may be an obvious choice for most, some people do not have that luxury. Working at High Point, a self-storage facility, I am finding this to be true more and more. So often people come to our office filled with despair. So much so that we keep our desk stocked with tissue at all times!! When people come in to rent a unit it can be for any number of reasons. Some people need to rent a unit because they have sold their home and are having another one built or they’re remodeling and need a safe place to keep their things in the meantime. These are great circumstances to have…most of the time. However, there are also times when people come in needing to rent a unit because there has been a death in the family or they are going through a divorce or they’ve lost their home or an extended family member has moved in with them due to illness. When people enter our doors with heavy hearts and more burden than they think they can possibly bear on their own, the last thing we want to do is add to their troubles and worries. At High Point Storage we remove the troubles and worries by making it our personal goal to lift our customers up and treat them with dignity, respect and kindness. We truly care about our customers and I believe it shines through in our service. We really listen to them because it helps us to better understand what they need. Sometimes we just sit and talk with them when they come in feeling overwhelmed and sometimes we take their hands and offer them prayers of peace. Whatever their circumstances, we make sure that each of our customers leave feeling better than they did when they walked in our doors.

Along with being more personable, we also offer “above the bar” features and amenities that you won’t find at other storage facilities. Each of our tenants can expect all of the following when they rent a unit at High Point Storage: great daily specials, state-of-the-art security systems, free use of our 10’ box truck with Tommy Lift upon move in (including a heavy duty appliance dolly and moving blankets), 10% off our boxes and other moving supplies, month-to-month contracts, no deposits, 24 hour access, easy online and automatic payment options, paperless billing, email and text notifications (if desired), 10 day move out notice requirement (as opposed to the standard 30 day notice) and units that are all on one level so there are no elevators or steep stairs to traverse. We also offer additional discounts to our service men and women, including military, police, fire fighters and teachers!

When you’re running around trying to get all of your ducks in a row it’s easy to forget the simple things like stopping for food and refreshments. Unloading heavy furniture can really work up an appetite! So, we offer a full snack bar, absolutely free of charge, complete with a variety of coffees, teas and cocoas from our Keurig! We also serve candy and trail mix, as well as, cookies and popcorn that we make fresh daily. Pink lemonade and iced tea are served here seasonally. Of course we also offer cold water from our Nestle Pure Life water cooler. We truly are service oriented. Our customers love us and we love them!! Come on in. We are here to serve you!
